The Department ACSE is an educational and research unit, part of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers within the Politehnica University of Bucharest.
The teaching activities are centered on automatic control engineering and related topics for undergraduate-bachelor and graduate-master and Ph.D. students. Our courses span the entire field of systems and control theory and engineering, from the fundaments of the system theory to the controller implementation on the real plant. The undergraduate modules organized by ACSE deal with intelligent control systems, real-time systems, and bioinformatics. The master programmes of ACSE are open to all candidates with an Electrical Engineering background and strengthen their skills in real time, complex, and cyber-physical systems.
ACSE includes several research groups, working on both theory and applications, with a significant contribution from PhD and master students, often supported by several national industry connections. Among the department strong research topics one finds control theory, system identification, signal processing, optimization, real-time systems programming and design, and bio-inspired control. Furthermore, exciting new techniques from data processing and machine learning are added.
Join our activities! We are eager to teach you, work with you and value your feedback. If you want to deepen your knowledge in control systems, ACSE is likely your best choice!
