ACSE is an educational and research unit, part of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers at Politehnica University of Bucharest.
We teach automatic control and related topics for undergraduate, master and Ph.D. students. Our courses span the whole control field, from basic system theory to the implementation of control systems. The undergraduate modules organized by ACSE deal with intelligent control systems, real-time systems and bioinformatics. The tuition may be continued through our three master’s programs open to all candidates with Electrical Engineering background. We co-organize double-degree master and PhD studies joint with SUPELEC Paris, Lille 1 University – Science and Technology, and Grenoble Institute of Technology, France, while many students benefit from stages at these institutions for preparing their final theses.
We have several research groups, working on both theory and applications, with a significant contribution from PhD and master students, which are often supported by national industrial links. Among our strong research topics are: control theory, system identification, signal processing, optimization, real-time system programming and design, and bio-inspired control.
Join our activities! We are eager to teach you, work with you and value your feedback. If you want to deepen your knowledge in control systems, ACSE is probably one of the best places you may choose.
